Computerized tomography (CT)-based three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT) for T1a vocal cord carcinoma in choir singers with adiuvant voice therapy and documentation

T1/T2 glottic carcinomas can be treated primarily by laser
surgery or radiotherapy. The goals of treatment are the oncologic
safety and maintaining the voice function. The authors
would like to demonstrate this in the form of a case presentation,
that the primary three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy
(3DCRT), based on 3D planning with CT-simulation is a
safe option for treating T1/T2 laryngeal carcinoma and ensures
a good preservation of the speaking and singing voice
function. The authors present the cases of a choir-singers
with a T1a highly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma.
