Objective
In different spasmodic dysphonia the improvement in the medical treatment for respiratory and food allergies and reflux give benefit to the voice pathologies of these patients.
Methods
To be aware of these comorbidities make an integral diagnosis.The 50 patients of this study had a complete endoscopical stroboscopical laryngeal examination with nasal endoscopy and acoustical analysis
According to the medical study and the examination RAST screening for respiratory allergens and food allergens was performed.
Results
In a group of 50 spasmodic dysphonia from 2020 to 2025 we found 75% with signs of gastroesophageal reflux that improved with pharmacological treatment the voice function.In 65% of this group we found different respiratory allergies ,the patients were tested by RAST blood screening for IgE meq and treated with desensitization vaccines and environment improvement from houses and offices. Rast screening food test was also performed with 35% of positive results.
60% of the patients were injected with botulinum toxin on one vocal fold and 100 % of the patients had voice therapy .
Conclusions
An integral diagnosis in spasmodic dysphonia patients needs to be done.The treatment has to be complete.
