Newsletter 2023 September

Dear Voice Foundation Members,
I hope that everyone had a wonderful summer after a great kickoff in Philadelphia at the 52nd Annual Symposium! During the symposium, presenters in one of the speech-language pathology sessions shared their research aiming to understand the experiences of speakers and singers with voice disorders. The audience members’ questions and comments showed a deep interest in understanding patients’ perspectives and learning how to tailor research and clinical care to consider patients’ unique needs. Thus, this issue of the newsletter will delve more into the topic of patients’ experiences to motivate future research and inform current practice.
