General Musculoskeletal System as Potent Lever in Voice Quality and Voice Treatment. From the Voice Studio to Therapeutic Room. For a Biomechanical Integration of the Voice Model.

General musculoskeletal system role in voice quality and voice production cannot be overstated, still it is in literature poorly studied and some of its specifics actually create confusion into the appropriate management, especially to restore spontaneous physiology. It is a complex system not simplifiable beyond a certain threshold. This complexity at now does not mean anymore the just management of recognised voice contributors of it, but a more planned not overly micromanaged tools. The results – in rehab and athlete fields, as in my results both on artistic or treatment refractory voices show a great capacity of restoring/developing athleticism and in voice show the same quality of results. My multiple contributions here and at the two PEVoC 14 & 15 of the last 24 months are in the direction of opening this new field putting it into its mechanism based place; have shown how joint dysfunctions are directly relevant to voice production at the at now recognised muscles function for voice, how to develop some of those with the uniqueness of the unilateral exercises, how isometric can be nuanced into the direction of functionality effects for tissues adaptations with the appropriate stimuli, how refractory treatment/training voices can be reversed with hips functional exercises integrated into the vocal ones. The effort here is to start clarifying how to intend and translates its functions for voice purposes, something that in a not integrated or organic way has sparkles of it into most techniques and historical practices. One of the interesting aspects of integrating the proper musculoskeletal system contributions and logics into voice therapy lies in the not neurological ways in which the musculoskeletal system transmits informations and controls the movements. Voice ineffectiveness from an artistic or personal communication point of view is a high anxiety, emotional and often high arousal state, all those not being on the side of voice function. The musculoskeletal system -when functional – has a mechanical way of regulate itself in the brain, its direct contributions into the vocal tract from joints far from it create the effectiveness, sense of agency in voice reliability with less neurological noise. It is an opening field with a great potential in voice applications, adding convenient tools to physiologic voice and at now yet some unprecedented physiological results in convenient times .
