Auditory-Perceptual Voice Evaluation Training with Real-Time Interactive Technology (www.all-voiced.com)
Introduction: Auditory-perceptual evaluation is a cornerstone of voice assessment and rehabilitation, widely used by speech-language pathologists (SLPs) and otolaryngologists (ENTs). This workshop introduces an innovative app designed to address the limitations of traditional methods, enhancing training and research through real-time interactive technology.
Problem Addressed: Traditional training methods for auditory-perceptual evaluation are often time-consuming and lack immediate feedback and interactivity. These methods do not fully exploit the available technology for real-time analysis and collaborative discussions, which limits their efficiency and impact. Existing solutions fall short in providing instant feedback or interactive learning opportunities, and fail to integrate real-time interaction and efficient data presentation.
Hands-on Approach: Participants will engage with the www.all-voiced.com app in a live, interactive setting to evaluate voice samples, get immediate feedback, and engage in collaborative data analysis sessions. Attendees will use their mobile devices to evaluate voice samples, share and discuss their findings, and collaborate on interpreting results.
Findings: The app allows instructors to create evaluation sessions where students submit assessments in real-time. Results are immediately available for group discussion, enhancing the learning experience. This approach improves evaluation efficiency and provides valuable opportunities for hands-on practice and immediate feedback.
Impact: This workshop integrates real-time interactive technology into auditory-perceptual evaluation training, transforming how voice professionals use evaluation tools. Participants will learn how to apply this technology in their practice, leading to more effective training and improved outcomes in voice assessment.
