Confidence and Voice. Exercises for Non-Singers to Build Stronger Sound Wave, Feel Comfortable on Stage and During Presentation.
Objective: Most of the people feel nervous during public speaking, which doesn't allow them to present with confidence and show their best. As a result, more fear is built towards future opportunities to present or communicate with others.
Method: With general understanding of how sound wave is created and projected, applied with the set of following exercises, person gains awareness on how to deal with nervousness and control voice during important meeting or opportunity to present idea or express an opinion.
This is a hands-on workshop that step by step creates understating of voice projection and how to control it for non-singers and those, who would like to become more confident during public speaking.
The steps of workshop include the following:
1. Breathing exercise ( building awareness between breathing and reaction of Nervous system. Improving diaphragmatic breathing)
2. Relaxing jaw and building the flow of vowels ( using AEIOU line )
3. Understanding "centering" and how consonants being created in the center of the body ( vibration) ( using "Zee" sound to demonstrate )
4. Main points for creating presentation ( how not to get lost during presentation) -showing the structure to follow
5. Getting rid of monotonous sound, This final exercise will show how to build connection between sound and body rhythm. ( Based on particular poem that will be provided to all of the participants. Body movement will be offered to experiment with changes of the pitch and flow)
Results: Participants will gain awareness of their voice strength, learn how to use the power of the entire body to create stronger voice from within instead of using force that can be damaging for vocal folds. As well as accumulate practical tools for further practice that helps to build confident use of the voice for successful public appearance
