Abstract Title | Words Production and Tone Production in High Range Voices, a Separate Functions Training. How to Train Them Separately. |
---|---|
Abstract | This workshop is on the practical training of words production in the medium high and high extension zone, how to train it in all levels of training. It is especially addressed to classical tenors, sopranos and mezzosopranos, can have a place in jazz singers with great instrumental and scat focus or all styles singers not having found yet the direct effective medium/medium high segment of the voice. The constrictive functions above the vocal folds are a point of interest in extreme voice productions and in commercial styles and have had a great quantity of research and expansion. One specific point is the development of those while a substantial tone production is present, we know in literature from great singers or practices that it is an element of controversy if to work on it and how, great care and often advised not to work at all since the risks are known as great. In my practice and biomechanical view the risks come from the horizontal stabilisers and the constrictive digestive and respiratory structures, being favorised and able of exceeding the other for biological survival hierarchy so to be often preached to never work directly in the vocal tract. I propose a separation of the tone production and the words production so to be able to develop exactly the point lacking (respecting the specific structure of the individual, still often overcoming most of the limitations). In here I present exercises and counteractions to avoid the risks, in a practice that contains rational strategies to find, develop with the respect of tissues and muscles adaptations, strategies in the reverse and maintenance of the flexibility and mobility so to maintain and add and not forcing with just muscular force gains. It is a biomechanical and belcanto bridged way of rationally and artistically develop beyond some limitations or weaknesses often found unsolvable for years. I would like to work with classical tenor, mezzosoprano and soprano. |
