Abstract Title

Hips and Sacro-Iliac Functionality In Voice Training, Limitations and Development

Abstract

This workshops shows exercises and solutions into voice production/training and development using the fundamental for body motion hips and Sacroiliac joint. It is the practical version of the Poster presented here at the TVF 52nd Symposium on sitting and its consequences on singers and of the abstract on the three case studies using those for voice recovery in chronic cases. The exercises shown are from functional training programs, actors/dancers training adapted for voice and some original mine, they can involve phonation as not. They are conceived to work on hips mobility, its connection with voice production directly as its indirect effect into the lumbar segment, on unilateral and bilateral questions that some from osteopathic background can see as the deep front line involvement. They find a place in all styles of voices, are particularly useful in voice limitations as a not completely developed colour, extension or management of first or second of passage of registers (depending on the style D3-G3/D4-G4 and D5/G5 or for more instrumental voices or jazz/pop anticipated at Ab4/C5). I would love to work with two classical singers and a CCM singer.
